Adam Keller is 2 years old and he was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma on August 19, 2016. He had a tumor in his stomach and cancer throughout his bones. Since then Adam has been through several treatments. He has already been through 5 rounds of chemo and tumor removal surgery. The surgery was successful and got all the tumor out. In January, we found out that Adam was cancer free just from the 5 rounds of chemo.
January 16, 2017 Adam was admitted for his first stem cell transplant. He got a high dose of chemo that killed his whole immune system. He had to get a transplant of his own stem cells to start rebuilding his immune system again. Adam did wonderful with his first transplant. Since then he has been home and having a really good time.
He will be admitted for his second transplant and last round of chemo March 16, 2017. After this, he will do radiation for 2 and half weeks. After radiation, he will start his 6 months of antibody therapy. As long as Adam is still cancer free this will be his last treatment.
He has been so strong through this whole thing and we are very thankful for all the prayers and the treatment he is able to get.
